Yellowstone

Being the senior scientist and staff ornithologist in Yellowstone National Park is a distinct honor. No one has even come close to matching the field experience and knowledge Terry has gained over the two decades he has presided in this position. Career professional field ornithology jobs are becoming a thing of the past, and Terry has been fortunate to have spent his entire career in the field which is very rare to find these days. This is just a photo sampler of what he has been able to experience in Yellowstone over the years. Gallery Page

Red Rock Lakes

Red Rock Lakes is a place dear to Terry's heart. Besides being a unique area, he was the ornithologist there before coming to Yellowstone. It is situated in one of the most remote valleys in all of Montana, and Karen and he were snowbound there each year for a 5-6 month duration. And besides it was here that Terry met Karen (via a letter), and it was at the Red Rock Lakes campground where they got married. There was no better place to sharpen his ornithological skills than Red Rock Lakes. Gallery Page
